Their compeditors have bloated, cluttered interfaces. Simplicity drove everything. The UX is basically a series of "calls to action" to pass the user through the bare minimum of fields to place a call. We didn't want users to be given a million options. The core product is connecting calls, that's what users will come there to do, and that's what Speek should focus on. We think it's better to do one thing amazingly well, than do many things poorly.
